Chip telephone
This is the first "chipper" phone, developed in the Netherlands and the last telephone that KPN produced.
With this telephone it was possible to upload a chip-card and make realtime "cash" payments.
The design suggests a split between a formal banking device and a tool for human contact (and the emotions that are involved).
The sensitive part becomes visible once the horn is lifted.
The chipper could be used in the yellow ticket vending machine. This machine recognized the chipper and then calculated the fare based on personal price levels.
